About me

My passion is working with people who have great stories to tell and want them to be heard.

You often hear it’s not the smartest person who makes it up the ladder, it’s the best communicator. And it’s true. The smartest people can get stuck because they are missing key communication skills to influence others and broadcast their worth.

I LOVE WORKING WITH PEOPLE WHO MIGHT NEED THAT CONFIDENCE BOOST OR THE TOOLS AND STRATEGIES TO BE SEEN BY THEIR AUDIENCE.

I founded TechForum Consulting in 2020 with over 15 years of experience coaching practicing engineers and business leaders in communication. I bring my passion for solving problems to every workshop, coaching, and training session I lead.

Early in my career, I was a pioneer in online graduate engineering education, first acting as a long-time faculty member in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Master of Engineering Management program, and then leading my own innovative online graduate capstone certificate.

My interest in developing storytellers led to my passion for research in presentation design.

Parallel to my academic career, I consulted and developed training programs for organizations such as Boeing, 3M, Cummins, Henkels & McCoy, Upsher-Smith Pharmaceuticals, and John Deere. In 2014, based on my extensive work in the field of presentation design, I co-authored the book, SlideRules: Design, Build, and Archive Presentations in the Engineering and Technical Fields, published by IEEE-Wiley.

Through TechForum Consulting, I have helped executive and technical leaders around the globe develop as communicators and influencers.

“We have used Christine and Tech Forum Consulting to improve the quality and effectiveness of our team’s executive communication.  By helping the team identify and focus on key elements of communication, including audience understanding, concision and storytelling in both our written and verbal communication, the team’s effectiveness has grown exceptionally.  She has helped each team member grow, while still allowing them to embrace their individual personalities and encouraging them to lean into their existing strengths.  Christine is committed to the success of her clients and has been an important part of the team’s growth and development.
